Paul assumed his current role in July, 2016, after serving for four years as CEO of The Absolut Company. Previously, Paul held a number of other senior management roles in Pernod Ricard, including Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard UK, Chairman and CEO of Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard and Chairman of Pernod Ricard South Africa. He also served from 2008-2012 as Chairman and CEO, Pernod Ricard USA.
Paul launched his career as an accountant with KPMG Dublin. After moving to the Paris office of KPMG in 1991, Paul returned to Dublin in 1994 to join Irish Distillers Pernod Ricard, where he began his career in a finance position and was promoted to Finance Director in 1997.
Paul earned a BBS degree from the University of Dublin, Trinity College in Ireland.
Chief Commercial Officer, Spirits
Julien Hemard is Chief Commercial Officer, Spirits, Pernod Ricard USA.
Julien assumed his current role in July, 2016. He joined Pernod Ricard in 1995 as Brand Manager and then Head of Marketing at Casella Taiwan, and became International Marketing Manager at Campbell Distillers in 1998. He subsequently worked in a series of progressively responsible Marketing, Sales and General Management roles, including Deputy Managing Director, China; Managing Director, Australia; and Managing Director, Pernod Ricard Pacific, where he led a team of more than 400 in Australia and New Zealand.
Julien earned a degree from CERAM Business School in France, and also holds an MBA from INSEAD.
SVP, Spirits Marketing
Pierre Berard is Senior Vice President, Spirits Marketing, Pernod Ricard USA.
Berard assumed his current role in July, 2013. He previously held numerous leadership positions at Pernod Ricard in Europe and China. Pierre served as Marketing Director, Pernod Ricard China, from 2010 until joining Pernod Ricard USA. Prior to that, he served as Marketing Director in China for Martell Cognac, Perrier-Jouët and G.H. Mumm. Previously, he was International Brand Director for Martell in Europe and the Americas, and before that held various brand management and marketing positions, including innovation leader, for the Pernod Brand Company. He joined Pernod Ricard in 1998 with Campbell Distillers in London.
Pierre earned a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communication from ESCP Business School in Paris.
SVP, New Brand Ventures
Jeff Agdern is Senior Vice President, New Brand Ventures, Pernod Ricard USA.
Jeff assumed his current role in July, 2016. He began his career with Sidney Frank Importing Inc. before joining Pernod Ricard USA in 1999, as the Brand Manager for Jameson. From there, Jeff held a series of progressive Marketing roles within PR USA, including Director of Irish & Single Malt, Vice President of Cordials & Liqueurs, and Vice President of Whiskey, Gin & Cognac. In 2010, he was named Vice President, Marketing for Pernod Ricard’s Canadian affiliate, Corby Spirit & Wine, where he worked for three years until returning to Pernod Ricard USA as Senior Vice President of the company’s Wines & Champagnes division.
Jeff earned a BA degree in International Politics from the Penn State University.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Guillaume Thomas is Chief Financial Officer, Pernod Ricard USA.
Guillaume assumed his current role in September, 2014, after serving as CFO for Irish Distillers for two years. Thomas joined Pernod Ricard in the Global Audit and Business Development team in Paris in 2005. He was appointed CFO of Pernod Ricard South Africa in 2009, and CFO of Pernod Ricard Sub-Saharan Africa when it was established in 2010. Prior to joining Pernod Ricard, Thomas spent close to seven years as a strategy and management consultant with AT Kearney.
Guillaume earned a degree from HEC Paris.
CEO Absolut Elyx
Jonas Tåhlin is CEO, Absolut Elyx.
Jonas assumed his current role in July, 2014, and was named to the Pernod Ricard USA Executive Committee in May, 2016. He started his career at Procter & Gamble, where he held various marketing positions until joining The Absolut Company in 2006 as the Head of Western Europe. In 2008, after Absolut became part of Pernod Ricard, he served as Regional VP Americas, and subsequently Vice President, Marketing, Vodkas at Pernod Ricard USA. In July 2010 he became VP, Brand Development and then VP, Global Marketing at The Absolut Company.
Jonas earned a MSc degree in in Marketing from the Stockholm School of Economics.
SVP, Wines and Champagnes
James Slack is Senior Vice President, Wines and Champagnes, Pernod Ricard USA.
James assumed his current role in July, 2016. He started his career at Reckitt Benckiser as National Account Manager, and joined Pernod Ricard UK in 1999, where he held several progressively responsible senior sales and marketing roles. In 2003 James joined Diageo as Marketing Manager, but he returned to the Groupe in 2006 as General Manager Spirits, Pernod Ricard Australia. He later served as Marketing Director for that company until 2010, when he joined Chivas Bros. as Global Brand Director. He was appointed Vice President, Marketing, Pernod Ricard China in 2013.
SVP, Corporate Communications and CSR
Amandine Robin is Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, Pernod Ricard USA.
She assumed her current role in October 2016. Previously, she served as Director, Communications, PR & CSR at Pernod Ricard USA’s sister companies in Canada, Corby Spirit & Wine and Hiram Walker & Sons. She launched her career at the financial arm of General Electric in Canada (GE Capital). Before joining Corby, Amandine worked in Marketing & Business Development Communications at McCarthy Tétrault, the leading Canadian law firm.
Amandine earned a double degree in Commerce, with a specialization in Strategic Marketing and International Business, from the Reims Management School in France and the University of Ottawa in Canada.
SVP, General Counsel
Brian Chevlin is General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Pernod Ricard USA.
He joined Pernod Ricard USA in September 2012 and was named to his current position in May 2013. Brian joined Pernod Ricard USA from Unilever U.S., where he served as Deputy General Counsel for the company’s North American Foods unit and as a member of the Executive Management Team of Ben & Jerry’s, which Unilever acquired in 2000. Brian also served as Unilever’s Deputy General Counsel, Litigation Management. He previously handled a wide variety of commercial litigation and employment legal matters while working in private practice for two law firms.
Brian is a graduate of Rutgers University, and earned his law degree at George Washington University.
SVP, Human Resources and Corporate Services
Massimiliano Maffioli is Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Corporate Services, Pernod Ricard USA.
Massimiliano assumed his current role in July, 2015. He joined Pernod Ricard in 2008 as Human Resources Director for the Italy/Swiss cluster, and after three years moved to Spain, where he led the HR team for Spain and Portugal. Before joining Pernod Ricard, he held various European positions with Danone, first in Organization Development and later moving into Human Resources full-time.
Massimiliano earned a degree in Organizational Behavior Studies from Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi.
